Information:                 Funeral services for George Neve Lockhart, 83 year old farmer of the Sandyville community, who died at his home there Monday, will be held at the Independence Church this (Wednesday) afternoon and burial will be in the church cemetery.  He was a native of that section of the county and was a son of the late Albert and Anetta Derenburger Lockhart, pioneer residents of that section.  He was born near Wiseburg on April 24, 1865, died Feb. 14, 1949.  In 1884 he married Linna Lesta Enoch, who preceded him in death in 1921.  His second wife, Ella Anderson Lockhart, also preceded him in death.  Survivors include two sons, Carl B. of Sandyville and Ned E. of War; two daughters, Mrs. Vesta Mitchell of St. Marys and Mrs. Erma Hardesty of Sandyville; five sisters, Mrs. Tena Sommerville and Mrs. Anetta Vannoy, both of Sandyville, Mrs. Lily Leep of Parkersburg, Mrs. Sarah Archer of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Ida Dickson of East Liverpool, and 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  One son, George, died a few years ago and three children died in infancy.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
