Information: Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Sandyville Methodist Church for Mrs. Erna Javins Lockhart, 66 of Sandyville, who died Jan. 16 at her home.  Officiating were the Rev. William Eaton and the Rev. Earl Seaman.  Burial, in charge of the Chambers Funeral Home, was in the Independence Cemetery.  Although Mrs. Lockhart had been under a physician's care for some time, her death was unexpected.  For a number of years she had been a reporter for the Ravenswood News, covering the Sandyville and New Era communities.  Mrs. Lockhart was born Aug. 5, 1896 at Winefrede, Kanawha County.  She was a daughter of Samuel D. and Virginia Ryan Javins.  On June 18, 1913 she was united in marriage to Therman A. Lockhart and moved to Sandyville.  She is survived by her husband, two sons, Brooks J. Lockhart of Monterey, Calif., (rest is missing)
