  <p>Information: Lavinia Opal Casto Litton, 99, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on October 24, 2014.  She was born on February 16, 1915 at Belgrove, WV to the late Lavina Jane and John Lightburn Casto.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and delighted in her family, church and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rufus Garland Litton, and daughter, Jo Ann Litton.  She was also preceded in death by brothers, Kenna, Loren, Ernie, Owen, and Hoyt Casto, and sisters, Elsie Parsons, Macil Parsons and Ethel Staats.  She is survived by daughter, Lavonne Litton Sanders (Joe) of Birmingham, AL; granddaughters, Anne Sanders Rand (Ned) of Birmingham, AL and Elizabeth Sanders Lopez (Fred) of Marietta, GA; four great-grandchildren, Lewis Everett Rand, Lillian Litton Rand, Isabel Marguerite Lopez and Olivia Gabrielle Lopez; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Fairplain Cemetery with Dr. Dennis Johnson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama, P. O. Box 531255, Birmingham, AL 35253 or to the charity of your choice.  Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.</p>
