Information: Dr. Milton J. Lilly Jr., 68, one of the founders of the Eye and Ear Clinic In Charleston, died Sunday after a long illness. He was the brother of Mrs. Clara Staats of Ripley. Lilly, who founded the clinic in 1967 with J. A. B. Holt and Edwin Shepherd, died in General Division, Charleston Area Medical Center. Lilly was past president of the Kanawha Medical Society and a Republican member of the House of Delegates from 1971 to 1972. He graduated from John Hopkins University and performed his opthalmology residency at the University of Illinois. He did undergraduate work at Marshall University. He was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, the American Rhododendron Society and the American Academy of Opthalmology. He was born in Mason County and was an Army veteran of World War II. Additional survivors include his wife, Betty C. Lilly; three daughters, Mrs. Janice Lilly Runyon of Charleston, Miss Catherine J. Lilly of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Martha M. Lilly Fogle of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Milton Judson III of Clarksburg, MD; five additional sisters, Mrs. Bernice Wallace of Portsmouth, OH, Mrs. Evelyn Green of Wintersville, OH, Mrs. Audrey Meadows of Fraziers Bottom, Mrs. Lucille Sarrett of Gallipolis, OH, Mrs. Helen Mitchell of Longmont, CO; and four grandchildren. Services were to be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. in Christ Church United Methodist with the Rev. David DuBois, the Rev. J. B. F. Yoark Jr. and the Rev. Paul Stadleman officiating. Burial was to be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
