  <p>Information: Dr. Benjamin F. Lewis, 70, of Lexington KY, died July 20 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.  He was the son of the late Fred and Ola Lewis of Jackson county who was a former police chief of Ravenswood.  He was also the brother of Ted Lewis, who was also a former police chief in Ravenswood.  Benjamin Lewis was a professor emeritus of philosophy and religion at Transyvania University and the minister of New Union Christian church in Woodford county KY.  Survivors include his wife, Glenva May Lewis; one daughter, Rebecca Elizabeth Lewis of Philadelphia; two sons, Stephen S. Lewis of Lexington and Benjamin F. Lewis, Jr. of Greenwood, SC; one sister and four grandchildren.  Services were held Saturday at New Union Christian Church in Woodford county, KY.  Burial was in the W. R. Milward Mortuary in Lexington.  (He was a son-in-law of William Paul Starcher)</p>
