Information: Frances M. Ross Lewfwich, 69, of Sandyville, passed away at her home February 19, 2013, after a courageous fight for her life. Frances was born in Coco WV on June 28, 1943, the ninth of 15 children to the late Jerry O. and Nora Olive Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dana L. Ross and Clarence E. Ross. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob Leftwich; daughters, Barbie and Melissa Leftwich; step-sons, Mike (Tiffani) Leftwich and family, Robert (Sheila) Leftwich and family; granddaughters, Ashlea Gable, Whitney Toley and Ricci Pitzer; great-grandsons, Cash Curry and Kaleb Knotts; brothers and sisters, Gwynn Ross of Frozen Camp, Barbara Pritt of Port Orange FL, Richard (Barbara) Ross of Chesapeake, Dottie (Carroll) Lynch of Charleston, Jerry Hollis Ross of Sandyville, Kay Truman of Gay, Larry Ross of Leon, Raymond Ross of Morehead KY, Bill (Wanda) Ross of Amma, Becky (Joe) Crockett of Eleanor, Debbie (Pete) Saunders of Sissonville and David (Sharon) Ross of Elkview and several nieces and nephews. Frances graduated from Elkview High School in 1961. She worked for Shoney's for 40 years before she and Bob purchased their own. She was an avid golfer and loved spending the winters at their home in Mt. Dora FL. He granddaughters and great-grandsons were the light of her life and she loved spending time with them. She was loved by all and would never hesitate to help out a family member. She loved her family and was the best wife, mom. mamaw, aunt and sister one could have asked for. A very special thanks to her sister-in-law, Linda Ross, and Kanawha Hospice for all of their help. Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Jerry Jones officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Following the service the family will be hosting a time of food and fellowship at the Parsons-Vail Family Center located inside the funeral home.
