Information: Robert E. Lawson, 64, of Sandyville, died Feb. 1, 1987, at General Division, CAMC, after a short illness.  He was the owner and operator of Robert E. Lawson General Contracting.  Surviving:  daughters, Linda Casto of Durham, N. C., Robin Lawson of Sarasota, Fla., Jennifer, Jane and Jean Lawson, all of Nitro; brothers, Charles of Ravenswood, Oliver of Fayetteville and Delbert of Sandyville; one grandchild.  Service was Tuesday at Independence Church, Sandyville, with the Rev. Melvin Conley officiating.  Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.  Vail Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
