Information: Milton Laughlin, who has been sick for some time with cirrhosis of the liver, died at his home Saturday morning, February 14th, and was buried at Lathem Ridge, Monday, services being conducted at the home by Rev. J. E. Hutchinson.  Mr. Laughlin had lived in Jackson county about thirty-three years.  He lost his wife many years ago, but leaves four children, Daniel, living in Roane county, Mrs. Lon Lathem and Miss Ella and Miss Edna.  He was born April 20, 1847 in Roane county and was almost sixty-seven years old.  He was a faithful member of the Sand Creek Baptist Church.  (McIntyre)
