Information: B. L. “Tobe” Bennett, 73, of Reedsville, O., died Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg. He was born in Cottageville, a son of the late Carl and Bessie Roush Bennett. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and a member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 132, Charleston. He was an Olive Township Trustee and had farmed in the Tuppers Plains, O. area. He is survived by two sons, Don of Reedsville and Wayne of Zanesville; one stepson, the Rev. J. L. Collins of Westerville, O.; one stepdaughter, Agnes Hill of Tuppers Plains, O.; brothers, Ben Bennett of New Castle, Pa. and Emery of Homeworth, Pa; five sisters, Beulah Gilbert of of Layfette, O., Bea Donohue of Letart Falls, O., Bridgette Snyder of Millwood, Burdie Rhodes of Jacksonville, Fla., and Betty Wilson of Ravenswood; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a close friend, Jessie Dodderer of Tuppers Plains who took care of him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Orpha M. Bennett. A service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday in White Funeral Home, Coolville, O., with the Rev. Roy Deeter  officiating with burial to follow in the Christian Church Cemetery, Coolville.
