  <p>Information: Lewis E. Lanham, one of the best known citizens of Washington district is dead.  The end for this long-time Justice of the Peace came Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rada Rhodes in Charleston.  He was 88 years old.  ""Squire"" Lanham as he had been known to several generations of Jackson countians, was a native of the Romance community in southern Jackson County and spent his life there.  In addition to serving many years as Justice of the Peace, he represented friends and neighbors in Justice of the Peace courts outside of his own court and was always recognized as a Republican leader in his section of the county.  Scores of friends and neighbors were present Sunday for the funeral rites at the Long & Fisher Funeral Home.</p>
