  <p>Information: Virgil E. Lane, 75, of Newton Falls, Ohio, formerly of Ripley, died Sept. 11, 1987.  He was the son of the late Flossie and Sam Lane.  He was a retired street operator.  Surviving:  wife, Lillie Kay Lane; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Clonch, Mrs. Susan Clonch, Mrs. Sandy Black; sons, Harold Lane and Gary Lane, both of Newton Falls; brothers, John Lane of North Carolina, Glen Lane Jr. of Wooster, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Freda Jones of Ripley, Carmelita Cobb, Pueblo, Colorado; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son, Gene Lane of Newton Falls.  Services were held Sept. 14 at James Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Glenn officiating.  Burial was in Newton Falls Cemetery, Newton Falls, Ohio.</p>
