Information: John Lane died Thursday night, December 5, at his home near Sidneyville, of tuberculosis, after a lingering illness of more than a year.  He was born December 21, 1860, and had been a resident of Jackson county all his life.  While he never united with any church, he was an honest, upright citizen and expressed himself as ready to die.  Funeral services conducted by Rev. Riffe, where held at the home Saturday and interment made in the King cemetery.
