Information: JACK LANDFRIED - Funeral services for former Jackson Countian ""Jack"" Landfried of Akron, Ohio, were held in Akron Saturday, December 23, at 11 a.m. at McGean and Reid funeral chapel with burial in Akron, Ohio. Born October 24, 1897, at Given, West Virginia, he was the son of the late George and Anna Parsons Landfried. A member of the Firestone 20-Year Club, he had retired from Firestone after 39 years of service. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Barclay; three brothers, George Landfried of Ripley, Guy Landfried and Russell Landfried, both of Kenna; one sister, Mrs. Tess Knotts, of Ripley; four grandchildren, Jim, Randy, Debbie and Clyde. The Rev. Charles Billington officiated at the services. (Ohio) O. H. LANDFRIED RITES SATURDAY- NORTHAMPTON TWP.- Oscar H. ""Cal"" Landfried, 75, a Firestone retiree, died Thursday in Akron City Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Landfried of 1799 Northampton Rd., worked for 39 years in the curing room at Firestone before retiring in 1962. He was a member of the Firestone Twenty Year Club. Born in Calhoun County, W. Va., he had been a resident of Northampton for the last 33 years. He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Catherine Barclay, Woodsfield, O.; sister, Tess Knotts, Ripley, W. Va.; brothers, George, Guy and Russell, all of Ripley; four grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the McGowan-Reid funeral home in Cuyahoga Falls, where friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. LANDFRIED - Oscar H. Va.; three brothers, George Landfried, Guy Landfried and Russell Landfried, all of Ripley, W. Va. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the McGowan-Reid Funeral Home, corner of Stow av. and Third st. where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Dr. Charles Billington officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
