Information: Edward Landfried, 85, of East Liverpool, Ohio, died March 7, in City Hospital following a six-month illness. He was born Jan. 23, 1892, in Ripley, a son of Jacob Landfried and Louise Ludwig Landfried. He resided in East Liverpool most of his lifetime. Mr. Landfried retired in 1964 as a jiggerman at Homer Laughlin China Co. Plant 6 and was an honorary member of the IBPAW. Having served in Germany with the Army during World War I, he was a life member of American Legion Post 374 and a member of the 33rd Division veteran. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Opal Parsons Landfried, whom he married Nov. 15, 1922; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Wright of East Liverpool and Miss Freeda Landfried, at home, and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Parsons of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
