Information: Ray Beegle, 70, of Leon, Mason County, died Sunday, Aug. 26, at Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant following a brief illness. He was born in Jackson County, a son of Mae Tuttle of Cottageville and the late Jennings Beegle. He was a World War II Navy veteran, the owner of Beegle Drilling and Escavating and the owner of the 87 Drive Inn. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Thomas Beegle; one son, Johnny Ray Beegle of Ripley; five brothers, Brownie and Jed Beegle both of Ripley, Clair Beegle of Cottageville, Jennings Beegle of Racine, OH., and Bill Beegle of Akron, OH.; two sisters, Gladys Douglas of Cottageville and Betty Jean Durst of Given; two grandchildren, Charles Ray and Ray Allen Beegle. He was preceded in death by one sister, Goldie Hunt. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the Casto Funeral Home, Evans with the Rev. Herman Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Eckard Cemetery, near Point Pleasant.
