Information: SUICIDE BY DROWNING -Mrs. Laura Kyger, wife of George Kyger of Grant district, ended her life last Wednesday morning, June 28th, by drowning. Mrs. Kyger had been in poor health for some years and about eight months ago her mind became so badly deranged that her friends placed her in the State Hospital at Spencer, where she remained until June 6, when it was thought that she could be better cared for at home. While the family had tried to guard her carefully since her return home, on last Wednesday morning about 9 o'clock she walked out of the house, crossed the road and plunged into a deep hole of water in Little Sandy creek, which runs through the Kyger farm. The deceased was about 60 years of age and was a daughter of the late William Slaven. She had been a faithful member of the M. E. church, South, since her childhood and was held in high esteem by all her neighbors and acquaintances. She leaves a husband and five children, W. R. Kyger of Huntington, Mrs. B. W. Chambers of Roane county, Mrs. Ora Winter who resides in the West, and Hugh and Virgil Kyger, to mourn her untimely death. The funeral service was held at the home at 10 o'clock this morning. Interment in the family cemetery.
