  <p>Information: John Staton Koontz, 92 died on Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Sada Landfried, Kenna following an illness of one year.  He was born May 27, 1872 at Kenna, son of Elben and Phoebe Fisher Koontz and was a member of the Pleasant View Methodist Church for 77 years.  Surviving are three sons, Dennie and Holland, both of Kenna and Warren Koontz of Elizabeth; three daughters, Mrs. Sada Landfried, Mrs. Garnet Parsons, Dunbar and Mrs. Tennia Miller of Charleston; one sister, Mrs. Greva Scherr of Kenna; 37 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Fisher Memorial Church near Kenna with the Rev. Ray Baker and the Rev. Vairl Winter officiating.  Burial will be in the Koontz Cemetery near the church.  The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.  Friends may call at the Vail Funeral Home, Ripley.</p>
