Information: Funeral services were held at 2 oclock Sunday afternoon at the Fisher Memorial Church on Dudeons Fork near Kenna for Pfc. John Rex Koontz, 21 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Holland Koontz of Kenna, who was killed at Mons, Belgium on Sept. 1, 1944. Rev. Hobson D. Fisher officiated at the service, assisted by Rev. Ervin Fisher and the burial was in the Koontz cemetery. Pfc. Koontz was graduated from Ripley High School and was employed by the United Fuel Gas Company at the time he enlisted in the service. Surviving, in addition to the parents, are two brothers, Arnold B. and Denver Koontz, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Jordan of Morgantown and Miss Mary Margaret Lorain Koontz of Charleston; his paternal grandfather, John Koontz of Kenna, and maternal grandfather, E.
