  <p>Information: Gladys Bumgardner Koontz, 95, of Kenna, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, in Jackson General Hospital.  Gladys will always be remembered for her vegetable gardens, her love of quilting, her love of bird watching and her large family dinners.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Denna Koontz; daughter, Sharon; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Paul Wilkinson; her beloved grandson, Donald Ford II; parents, Howard and Flossie Bumgardner; and sisters, Mary Jones and Pauline Bumgardner.         Left to cherish her memory are sons, Winfred Koontz and his wife, Ina, and David Koontz; daughters, Mildred Bledsoe and her husband, Ted, and Pam Sarrett and her husband, Jerry; brothers, Raymond Bumgardner and his wife, Mary Kay, and Web Bumgardner and his wife, Irene; sisters, Helen Lanham, Midge Mowrer, and Catherine Boggess and her husband, Laco; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 24, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with Pastor David Jasper officiating.  Burial will follow in Koontz Cemetery, Fisher Ridge, Kenna.  A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  The family would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff at Jackson General Hospital for their support and also Dr. John Snyder for his care of Gladys.  Condolences may be sent by visiting www.longfisherfuneralhome.com.</p>
