  <p>Information: Mrs. Viola Cummings Knox, 68, died Wednesday at Jackson General Hospital after an extended illness.  She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Joel and Dora Gates Cummings.  She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Townsend of Belleville, Mrs. Juanita Stutler, Mrs. Faye Allman, and Mrs. Sandra Lemley of Ravenswood; two sons, Robert J. and Paul C. of Ravenswood; a sister, Mrs. K. L. Wyant of Ravenswood; a brother, James of Beckey; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clay Knox.  Services were held Saturday at the Straight-Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. William Hopkins officiating. Burial was in Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
