Information: Funeral services were held at the Chambers-Kyger Funeral Home in Ravenswood Sunday afternoon for Captain Lee Camden Knotts, 73, a brother-in-law of Sheriff Charles E. Baker, and the body was brought to the Independence cemetery at Sandyville for burial. The Rev. Holmes A. Spencer of West Palm Beach, Florida, was in charge of the service. Capt, Knotts, who had retired from the U. S. Army, died at the Veterans Hospital in Dayton, Ohio last Thursday. A resident of Columbus, he began his active career as a school teacher in Jackson County and joined the US Army during the Spanish American War and then made the Army his career. Following his service in the Spanish American War he served many months in World War I with the rank of Major, and retired several years ago after 42 years of service with the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Della Baker Knotts; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Heck of Baltimore, Mrs. I. G. Hector of Charleston and Mrs. W. A. Jones of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Joe B. Knotts of Bethlehem, Pa. and J. S. Knotts of Columbus, Ohio, and by six grandchildren.
