Information: Dorothy Elizabeth (Dottie) Click Knopp, 64, of Cottageville, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 1995 at her home following an extended illness. She was born at Cottageville, a daughter of the late Andrew L. ""Pole"" and Bertha Elizabeth Donohue Click Hodges. She was a lifelong member of the Hopewill Baptist Church at Mt. Alto, where she taught youth Sunday School class. She was active in both the Girl and Boy Scouts and the Future Farmers of America. She was a lifelong member of the Jackson County Extension Homemakers, the Jackson County Arts and Crafts Fair, and was a charter member of the Jackson County Farm Women's Club. An expert in cooking and the winner of several awards in this field, many of her original walnut cake recipes were recognized by the Black Walnut Festival group. Her recipes have been published in national and local publications. A graduate of Ripley High School, she obtained a degree in fine arts from West Virginia University and taught classes at the YMCA in Parkersburg and West Virginia University. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Schoonover. Surviving: husband, Otmer G. Knopp; son, David L. Knopp of Cottageville; daughter, Teresa Thomas of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one brother, Andrew Click of Cottageville; two sisters, Pauline Petty of Parkersburg and Lucille Morales of Lubeck and two grandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, (today) at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, the Rev. Andrew Robinson and Rev. Don Rollins officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville.
