Information: Clyde O. Knopp, 81 of Gay, Rt. 1, died Thursday at his home after a long illness.  He was born in Roane County, a son of the late George and Alice Williams Knopp.  He was a lifelong resident of Roane County, a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a retired oil field worker and farmer.  Survivors include his wife, Grace R. Knopp; five sons, Duward and Gilbert, both of Gay, Richard of Parkersburg, Otho of Spencer, Frank of Barberton, O.; four daughters, Geraldine Lupardus of Barlow, O., Corrine Matheny and Emmalou Matheny both of Ripley and Mabel Whited of Barberton, O.; three sisters, Bonnie Phillips of Liverpool, Odessa Gallenback and Doris Staats, both of Beaver, Pa.; three brothers, Howard and Foster, both of Monaca, Pa. and Virgil Knopp of Barberton, O.; 39 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  Services were held Sunday at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Efford S. Epling and the Rev. D. C. Guthrie officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.
