  <p>Information: Simon Peter Knight, 70, of Ripley, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness.  Simon was born on May 15, 1941 in Georgia, son of the late James and Nan Vaughn Knight.  He worked as a concrete supervisor in the construction industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.  He was an active member and supporter of the Masonic Lodge in Baltimore MD, where he had attained the 32nd degree.  Surviving:  his wife of 18 years, Frances, of Ripley; son, Rusty Guy of Maryland; daughter, Lajoy Barcroft of Virginia; grandson, Mike Barcroft of Virginia; stepsons, Rick and Jeff Sisson of Ripley; stepdaughter, Jerri Jackson of Virginia; brothers, James Knight of Georgia and Dudley Knight of Kentucky; sisters, Eva Underwood of Georgia and Joyce Vairguard of Louisianna.  Memorial services will be Saturday, December 17, 2011, at noon at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor David Fields officiating.  It was Simon&#39;s wish that his body be donated to the Human Gift Registry of West Virginia for use by the WVU School of Medicine&#39;s student physicians.  Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.</p>
