Information: MAGGIE KNIGHT DIED MONDAY - Mrs. Maggie Knight, aged 81 years, died at her home in Ripley early Monday morning after an illness of several months due to the infirmities caused by her advanced age.  She was one of the oldest residents of the town.  The funeral services were held at the home Wednesday morning at ten o'clock with Dr. Fred Slaughter in charge and he was assisted by Rev. J. R. Withrow.  Burial was in the Pine Hill cemetery.        Sarah Margaret Knight was born September 15, 1855 and departed this life January 6, 1936.  She was the daughter of F. A. and Barbara Knight. She was born at Ravenswood, and moved to her present home while a small girl and resided her life time. She taught school in this county for a number of years and was a cashier in Carson and Starcher stores for a number of years.  She was united in marriage to J. C. Scott, February 23, 1892 and to his union was born one child, namely Walter K. Scott, who preceded her in death during the World war.  She was a member of the Southern Methodist Church.  Due to infirmaties she had been confined to her home for the past few years and has taken no part in life's activities. She had no near relatives.
