Information: R'WOOD MAN SUICIDE VICTIM - A Ravenswood man, Quentin T. Kirk, 58, of the B & E Trailer Park on Brown Street, was found dead yesterday (Tuesday) morning in his mobile home of an apparent suicide shooting.  Chief of police Ed Speece said that Kirk apparently died between 7 and 8 a.m. of a self-inflicted shot to the head from a 38 caliber pistol.  The body was discovered by Kirk's ex-wife, Gladys Kirk. She notified police at 8:12 a.m.  Kirk's body was on the living room sofa when found. There were reportedly powder burns on his hand from the discharge of the gun and a suicide note was found.  Patrolman Larry Kidder is assisting Speece with the investigation.  Kirk's body was transported to the state medical examiner's office by a Ravenswood Volunteer Fire Department ambulance.      He was born in Ashland, Kentucky, son of Mrs. Alice Thornbury Kirk of Ashland, Kentucky and the late Wayne Kirk,  He was a 21-year employee of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp., Ravenswood, and a member of North United Methodist Church, Ravenswood, Ashton Lodge AF-AM, Mason City American Legion.  He was a World War II veteran.  Surviving other than the mother are two daughters, Mrs. Polla Kincaid of Koma, Ind., Miss Tawnya Kirk, at home; one son, Michael T. Kirk of Koma, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Eunice Edwards of Ashland, Ky.; three brothers, Prentice and Darius of Ashland, Ky., Frank of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren.  The body will be cremated.  There will be no visitation.  Masonic graveside rites will be held at Jackson County Memory Gardens, date will be announced later.  Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood, is in charge of arrangements.
