Information: Mrs. S. V. Kinser died at her home in Sebring, Ohio, on Monday of last week. She was the mother of Mrs. Lloyd Staats of Fairplain, W. Va., who went to Ohio when she learned of the critical condition. Mrs. Kinser formerly lived at Given but a number of years ago moved with the family to Sebring where they have made their home. The funeral services were held at the home in Sebring last Wednesday afternoon and burial was in the Grand View cemetery nearby. Matilda Jane Stewart Kinser was born February 10, 1871, departed this life January 7, 1935. She was united in marriage to Sylvester Kinser October 21, 1897. Seven children were born to this union, six of whom survive: Mrs. Mae Staats of Ripley, Mrs. Elsie Casto of Sebring, Ohio, Mrs. Martha Haskinson of Beloit, Ohio, and Clyde, Rex and Russell of Sebring, Ohio. Five brothers and 13 grandchildren also survive. The eldest son, Gay, and three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Mrs. Kinser was converted as a girl and was a faithful worker in the United Brethren church at Rockcastle until moving to Sebring 12 years ago. [from the Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
