Information: In poor health for the past several years, Mrs. Wade W. King, age 53, died Monday, April 7 at 1:15 a.m. at St. Mary's Hospital, DeKalb, Illinois. Mrs. King had been a resident of the DeKalb and Sycamore communities for the past 27 years and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her death. Lillie Florence Staats was born in Evans, West Virginia, December 23, 1887, the daughter of the late Elias E. and Rosalie Staats. On May 5, 1912 she was united in marriage to Wade W. King. As a child Mrs, King became a member of the Methodist church of Evans and had been a member of the DeKalb church since becoming a resident of that city. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Wade W. King, one son, Private Charles Donald King of the Headquarters Company, 129th Infantry, Camp Forrest, Tullahoma, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Peters, Grafton, W. Va., Mrs. T. Clayton Parsons, Sr., Ripley, W. Va., Mrs. A. C. Hibbard, Evans, W. Va. A short service was held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Wirtz Funeral Home, DeKalb, Ill., with Rev. B. G. Swaney of the First Methodist Church conducting the service. ""The one for whom you cared with such abiding love, Has found the wondrous shining path, Up to the home above.
