Information: Laura Edith King, daughter of Abe and Ora F. Sayre, was born August 13, 1900.  Departed this life March 8, 1946, age 45 years, six months and 25 days.  Her mother preceded her in death, March 13, 1940.  She was united in marriage to Donnie R. King, June 1918.  To this union five children were born, two sons preceded her in death.  Those that are left to mourn their loss are her husband, Donnie King, and three children; namely, Elsie Dillon of Dunbar, Goldie Drummond of Dunbar and Pvt Herbert King of the U. S. Air Force.  She also leaves her father, two sisters and one brother, Abe Sayre of Leon; Edna Stover of Elmwood, Sarah Barnette of Leon and Pvt. Orvil Sayre, serving with the U. S. Army in Germany. Also two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.  When but a small girl, she was converted at the Rockcastle U. B. Church and was renewed and expressed her faith in Christ in her last days.  She was a true and faithful companion, a kind and loving mother, and had a smile for everyone.  She bore her suffering patiently and called her neighbors and friends to her bedside to tell them of their goodness toward her and that she was ready to go home.  We knew the home she mentioned was her home on high and that our loss is Heaven's gain.  A loved one from us is gone A voice we loved is still A place is vancant in our home That never can be filled.  Dear loved one, how we miss you It's as much as we can bear We hope some day to be with you In that sweet home over there.
