Information: Francis King was born March 25, 1829 near Ripley, W. Va. and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. A. Hartley on Cow Run, February 18, 1918, aged 88 year, 10 months and 24 days. He was married to Ruth Barmore in August, 1852.  To this union were born nine children, six still living.  All were present at the funeral, but one, M. F. King, of Ottawa, Kansas.  One son and three daughters were at his bedside when death came.  S. W. King, of Barboursville, came later to attend the funeral, which was held at the home of his daughter, Wednesday, February 20, conducted by Rev. B. F. King, assisted by Rev. E. D. W. King.  He was laid to rest by the side of his wife in the Cherry Grove cemetery.  He was converted and joined the M. E. Church, South early in life and lived a consistent christian life until death.  ""Uncle Frank"" as he was usually called, was loved by all who knew him, therefore our loss is heaven's gain.  Mrs. W.
