Information: Charles Elmer King, 71, of Charleston, formerly of Evans, died Sunday afternoon at the St. Francis Hospital in Charleston after a long illness.  He was born in Evans, a son of the late John J. King and Ethel Williams King.  He was a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene in Charleston and was a member of the Ironworkers Local No. 301 in Charleston.  He was a retired construction worker.  He is survived by his wife, Beulah Flowers King; a son, Lonnie King of Charleston; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Jones of Charleston; three brothers, Vernon of Evans, Floyd of Ripley and Hobart of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and four sisters, Miss Evelyn King of Evans, Mrs. Minnie Pullins of Kenton, Ohio, Mrs. Mildred Snyder of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Mary Winters of Ripley; and nine grandchildren.  Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Casto Funeral Home. The Rev. Gay McCabe will officiate, with burial to follow in the Longview Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home.
