Information: James Everett Kibble, 78, of Sandyville, died Monday, May 6, 2002, at Jackson General Hospital after a short illness. He was born August 11, 1923, in Jackson County, a son of the late Thomas B. and Mabel Carmichael Kibble. He was retired from Carl E. Smith as a foreman. He was a lifelong member of Mud Run Church of Christ, was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II, having served on the USS Pennsylvania. He was a member of VFW Sandyville Post #3488. He is survived by two sons, James Carroll and Ronald Charles Kibble, both of Sandyville; two daughters, Mabel Jean Harbin of Washington WV and Ruby Dianne Kibble of Ravenswood; one brother, Tommy Kibble, of Sandyville; three sisters, Mary Postlewaite of Parkersburg, Ida Belle Thomas of Sandyville and Bernice Weaver of Sandyville; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, her was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Emma Kibble, and one granddaughter, Teresa Harbin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Vail Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Ernie Haynes officiating. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
