  <p>Information: Katherine Elizabeth Alexander, 74, of Ravenswood WV, passed away November 2, 2012 at her home.  She was born January 18, 1938, in Roseland VA, a daughter of the late Carl K. and Mary (Hughes) Hickman.  Her borther, Andrew James Hickman, also preceded her in death.  She was a former employee of Sears in Parkersburg and W. T. Grant and Heritage Christian Academy, both in Ravenswood.  She was also a sales representative for Home Interior and Gifts, and was a long-standing member of the Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood.         Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Joe Nolan Alexander; sons, Mark Cowen of Ravenswood, and Matthew Alexander of Jacksonville NC; daughters, Dawn Cowan Stewart of Murraysville, and Linda Alexander Milam of Sherman; grandchildren, Christina Barker, Anthony Stewart, Jillian Alexander, Nicholas Henry, Jacob Henry and Aycie Milam; great-grandchildren, Cecilia Barker and Aiden Barker; brother, Carl Hickman, Jr. of Staunton VA; and sisters, Hazel Phillips of Nellysford VA and Carolina Fox of Charlottesville VA.  Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood WV, with the Rev. S. R. Parsons, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Heritage Christian Academy, P. O. Box 446, Ravenswood WV 26164.</p>
