Information: Funeral services are being held this (Wednesday) morning for Mrs. Mary Ann Chapman Kessel, at the home at Kentuck, with Rev. C. E. Hutton in charge and the body will be taken to the family (Ferrell) cemetery, Vicars, Roane County, for burial.  Mrs. Kessel died at her home Monday morning about 6:30 am after an illness of some length.  She is survived by the husband, Kenna Kelvy Kessel, and one son, Virgil Lee Kessel, who is serving in the US Marines at the present time.  Other survivors include two brothers, M. A. Chapman of Spencer and William Chapman of Vicars.  (written by W. K. Kessel)
