  <p>Information: Louis Addison Kessel, 73, of Salem, Va., died peacefully January 26, 2003, at home.  Louis was born August 8, 1929, in Jackson County, WV, a son of the late William Kelvy and Ola Vay Kiser Kessel of Jackson County.  His sister, Lois Ann Kessel, also preceded him in death.  Louis was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He retired from the Kroger Co. after 43 years of employment.  Louis was a member of Fort Lewis Baptist church, Salem.  Surviving are his wife, Lenore Butcher Kessel; children and their spouses, Linda Kessel Harris and Randy of Richmond, Va., Mona Ann Kessel Carver and Cecil of Charlotte, NC, Greg Kessel and Sharon of Richmond, Jeannie Kessel of Arcata, CA; sister, Betty Jean Kessel McIntyre of Roanoke, VA; seven grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews.  Service was at Fort Lewis Baptist Church, Salem, VA and John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem VA made arrangements.      	 </p>
