Information: Funeral services were held at Fairplain Friday afternoon for Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Kessel, 84 year old widow of Sheridan Kessel, who died at her home in Charleston on Wednesday.  She had been in failing health for some time, relatives said.  The Rev. Hobson D. Fisher and Rev. Charles Scragg officiated at the service and the burial was in the Shinn cemetery.  Surviving are five sons, Lonnie of Sissonville, Lessie (Leffie), Clyde, Boyd and Theodore, all of Charleston; four daughters, Mrs. Boyd Shamblin of Given, Miss Birdie Kessel of Charleston, Mrs. Draper Hall of Fairplain, and Mrs. Freda Moore of Belle; a sister, Mrs. Verna Hill of Wheeling; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the Shepherd Chapel in Charleston.
