Information: Mrs. Catherine Kerwood died June 16, 1907.  She was the mother of W. P. Kerwood, editor of the Mountaineer.  She was buried in the King Cemetery near Ripley.   (from Jackson County Historical Society Newsletter Volume 28, No. 3, Page 9)
