  <p>Information: Otho Alvin Kerns, 37, of Evans, died Saturday morning in Charleston Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  Born at Kentuck, he was the son of Kenneth and Dealie Southall Kerns.  He attended the Hickory Grove Church and was a linesman for Hoosier Engineering Co.  He is also survived by his wife, Janice Counts Kerns; a son, Jeffrey, at home; a daughter, Angela, at home; six brothers, Hansford of Canton, O., Clyde, Richard and Dale of Romance, Emzy of Sissonville, and Denver of Kentuck; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Ingram of Fairmont, and Mrs. Sherry Adkins of Fairplain. Funeral services were held Monday at the Hickory Grove Church with the Rev. Noble Harper officiating.  Burial was in the Kerns Cemetery at Kentuck.  Parsons Funeral Home in Ripley was in charge of arrangements.</p>
