Death Notice:

Obituary Date: 1913-03-12

Information: This morning (Wednesday) at 3 o'clock, Mrs. Anthony Keller died at her home on Gallatin Street, aged about sixty-nine years.  Mrs. Keller had been in failing health for about two months but at no time has she seemed to suffer much.  She passed away quietly and peacefully as she had lived, having fulfilled for nearly half a century the duties of wife and mother.  Ruth Charlotte Bolan, daughter of Charles Bolan and wife, was born in Beaver County, Pennsylvania about 1845.  She was married to Anthony Keller in 1867 and in 1875 they moved to Jackson county and have lived in and near Ravenswood ever since.  They had one child, I. R. Keller, who lives here and is one of the active business men of the town.  Her husband survives her, besides four brothers and four sisters.  She joined the Christian church in 1876, and the funeral will be held from the church Friday.  The services will be conducted by Rev. O. L. Cook.  Mrs. Keller was one of the women who are not known widely on account of her retiring disposition.  But as a mother, neightbor, a friend, she has left a record that many might envy.  She has lived a faithful Christian life, and has gone to claim the crown of life, which is promised to those who follow in His footsteps.  Ravenswood News   (from the obituary collection of Ada Ruth Sayre-microfilm copy-difficult to read)
