Information: Charles Phillip Bayer, 54, of Beeper, died May 19, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Jackson County, a son of Josephine Davis Bayer McCrady of Walker and the late Phillip Bayer. He attended Jackson County schools, was a design manager at Dudley's Florist, Parkersburg, and worked in the building supply business in the Belpre and Parkersburg area for more than 20 years. He was a contractor and worked at Lambert-Tatman funeral homes since their opening. He was a member and past board member of Christian Life Center Church, Parkersburg. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife of 32 years, Reba Mackey Bayer; one son, Charles P. Bayer II of Belpre; three daughters, Brenda S. Pearey of Houston, Cinda S. Amos of Parkersburg and Angela R. Williams of Belpre; one nephew, James W. Bayer of Little Hocking, whom he raised; three brothers, Larry Bayer and Robert McCrady, both of Walker, and Leon Bayer of Parkersburg; one sister, Betty Lou Nicholas of Walker; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, William C. McCrady, and one sister, Nancy Braham. Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Christian Life Center, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Delton Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Arrangements by Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
