Information: William Reed Kay, 86, Cottageville, Jackson county, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at his home, following an extended illness.  He was a retired railroad worker and farmer.  Born Sept. 14, 1874, at Angerona, Jackson county, he was a son of the late Warren and Hester Herdman Kay.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Adelfa Kay; a daughter, Miss Gladys Kay, Chicago; and a brother, John P. Kay, St. Albans. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hopewell Baptist Church at Mt. Alto.  The Rev. Armour Sayre will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the Casto funeral home at Evans until noon Saturday.
