Information: Troy G. Kay, 71, of Vienna, died Thursday night in Worthington Manor Care Center after a long illness. He was the brother of Hiawatha Board of Ripley. Kay was born in Jackson County, son of the late Jennings B. and Augusta Williams Kay. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired in 1978 from the Washington Works of DuPont after 31 years service. He was a member of Wayside United Methodist Church, Blennerhassett Post 1212 VFW, Vienna Gun Club, member and past master of Vienna Masonic Lodge No. 172, Scottish Rite Bodies of Parkersburg, Deputy Lecturer of the Masonic Grand Lodge of West Virginia for 22 years, 32nd degree Knight Commander Court of Honor, 2nd Lt. Scottish Rite Guard, Nemesis Temple of the Shrine. Additional survivors include his wife, Elsie Kessell Kay; three sons, Edward Ecker of Mineral Wells and Sam and Stephen Kay of Vienna; one daughter, Penny Tice of Vienna; three additional sisters, Juanita Ashmore of Manhattan Beach, CA, Freda Southall and Elsie Scarrow of Pulaski, VA, and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter. The funeral was Monday at Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg with the Rev. D. Edward Bayer officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery North with Masonic rites.
