Information: Mrs. Sylvia Karr, 74, of Rt. 1 Rockport, died Thursday morning at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Karr was born April 3, 1902, at Sandyville, a daughter of the late Harry and Susan Hunter Hardesty.  She was a member of the Rockport Church of Christ and was retired from the Wood County Board of Education.  Surviving are her husband, Edgar A. Karr; two sons, William H. Karr, of Edgewater, Md., and A.C. (Skip) Karr of Parkersburg; a daughter, Mrs. E.W. (Evelyn) Burdette, Jr., of Parkersburg; two brothers, Ross Hardesty of Hot Springs, Ark., and Luther Hardesty of Winter Park, Fla.,; a sister, Mrs. B.C. (Ada) Kent of Sandyville; five granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.  One son, Carroll Lee Karr, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.  Franklin and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. with Evangelist Eugene Conger officiating and burial was in Limestone Cemetery.
