Information:      Chrles Hamon ""Pete"" Jordan, 75, of Evans, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 6, 2014, at Abbyshire Place Bidwell, Ohio, surrounded by his family, following a long illness.  Pate was born July 19, 1938, in Ripley, a son of the late George and Hattie Hamon Jordan.  He graduated from Ripley with the class of 1956.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 25 years of service, where he worked in accounting and human relations.  Pete lived by his Christian faith and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.  e loved sports and coached youth footwall, wrestling and baseball.  He was the manager of the 1977, 15-year old, West Virginia Baby Ruth state championships from Ripley and led them to the National District Level in Detroit.  He was past president of the Ripley High Athletic Boosters and was instrumental in helping to make that organization strong and provide athletic fields which are a source of pride for the community of Ripley.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet Stobart Jordan; sons, Churk Jordan of St. Augustine, Fla., and Steve Jordan of Orlando, Fla., a daughter, Rhea Todd of Bentwood, Tenn.; grandchildren, Peter Jordan, Shelby Todd, Steven Jordan, Charlie Jordan and Bruce Jordan; brothers, William O. Jordan of Charleston, John Jordan of Phoenix, Ariz., and Paul Jordan of Corpus Christi, Texas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Parsons Jordan and their daughter, Angela; and brothers, George Jordan, Jr. and Ed Jordan.   Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan 9, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Charles Hicks officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
