Information: Jessie Mae Jones, 77, of Ripley WV, passed away at her daughter's home, Wednesday, November 19, 2014, following an extended illness.  She was born April 30, 1937 in Rome GA, the daughter of the late Ralph Eugene and Lula Belle (Phillips) Head.  Her husband, Glennis Dale Jones, Sr.; daughter, Kathy Jones; son-in-law, Connie Cochran; a sister, Myrtie and a brother, Fred Holcomb, also preceded her in death.  She was a retired nurse's aide.  Jessie was previously employed by St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, and Eldercare of Ripley.  She was a member of the VFW Post 5501, Ladies Auxiliary, Ripley WV, and attended the Parchment Chapel United Methodist Church, Given WV.  She loved sewing, swimming, rafting, boating, and playing cards and games.  Prior to her illness she enjoyed having big family holiday dinners.      She was greatly loved by all of her family:  sons, Ralph Jones of Letart, and Glennis Dale Jones, Jr. of Given; daughters, Linda Cochran of Liberty, Shelbie (Randall) Kelley of Craigsville, and Terri (Tim) Birthisel of Ripley; sister, Patsy; ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.  Jesus said ""Truly, I say unto you, today you will be with me in Paradise""  Luke 23:43.  A fellowship brunch will be held in Jessie's honor from 10 am until 12 noon, Saturday, December 13, 2014, at the Parchment Chapel Church, Given WV.  Graveside service will follow at 1 pm at the Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty WV, with Tim Birthisel officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Emma Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o David Parkins, 1014 Clendenin Creek Road, Liberty WV 25124, or the Parchment Chapel Church, c/o Jim Birthisel, 70 Magnolia Lane, Given WV 25245.  Casto Funeral Home, Evans WV, is assisting the family.  Email condolences may be sent to castofh@gmail.com.
