  <p>Information: RIPLEY - Flora Irene Jones, 81, of Ripley, passed away March 6, 1999 at Eldercare of Ripley after a long illness.  She was born in Kinniconck, KY, the daughter of the late Charles and Rebecca Evans Howell.  She was a Christian by faith and a devoted mother.  Surviving:  six sons, Herman Jones of Goldtown, Leonard Jones of Ripley, Lacy Jones of Dalesville AL, Freeland Jones of Sandyville, Tom Jones of Waverly WV, and Dennis Jones of Fayetteville NC; seven daughters, Elnora Harris of Dunbar, Linda Kline of Georgia, Fredlena Taylor of Locust Grove GA, Colene McDaniel of Dunbar, Sue Price of Blacksburg VA, Gail Huffman of Dunbar and Diane Stanton of Ripley; two brothers, Walter Howell of Vanceburg KY, and Ray Howell of Indiana; four sisters, Gladys Bradley of Vanceburg KY, Gertrude Howell of Lexington KY, Jewell Steidman of Vanceburg KY and Geraldine Porter of Vanceburg, KY; 31 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Delmar and Sturgill.  Services were held Monday, March 8, 1999 at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley with the Rev. Luther Raine and Rev. Earl Newmiller officiating. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery Garden.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer&#39;s Association in lieu of flowers.</p>
