  <p>Information: David Wallace JONES                   David Wallace JONES son of John Paul and Caroline JONES, was born Dec. 8, 1870, departed this life Nov. 27, 1947, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 19 days.  He was united in marriage to Mary NEWELL.  She departed this life August 6, 1905.  He was then united in marriage to Lizzie MORRIS and she departed this life in February 1943.                  He leaves to mourn their loss two brothers, Vernon JONES of Pt. Pleasant and Ernest JONES of Paradise; four sisters, Mrs. Arlie KING and Mrs. Pearl CHILDERS of Lake Park, Iowa, Mrs. Minnie HOGSETT of Ripley and Mrs. Sadie BARNETTE of Pt. Pleasant; one brother, Wren JONES and one sister, Lettie SAYRE, preceded him in death.  Although not a father himself, Mr. JONES raised Mrs. Sallie KIRKERS from a small girl to young womanhood.  Funeral services were conducted at the Creston EUB Church November 30, 1947 with the Rev. I. J. MCCOLLUM in charge. Interment was made in the Creston Cemetery.  (from the obituary collection of Betty Kessel McIntyre)     </p>
