Information: KENTUCK MAN HEART VICTIM - T. G. (Tommy) Johns, 66-year-old merchant of Kentuck, died at his home there Wednesday morning of a heart attack. He was born Nov. 2, 1896 at Kentuck, son of William W. and Mollie Casto Johns, and on July.....he was married to Inez Corbin, who survives. He had operated a general store for many years and formerly served as a school teacher in Jackson county. He was a veteran of World War I and attended the Goshen Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife, include a son, Glenna of Kentuck; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Poling, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Mrs. Aveline Homes and Mrs. Nell Jean Parsons, both of Charleston, and Mrs. Frances Cunningham of St. Albans; two brothers, Harold of North Carolina, and W. Boyd Johns of Charleston; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Goff, Mrs. Edna Lendsey and Mrs. Wanda Cinocco, all of Florida, and Mrs. Geneva Reese, Charleston, and 14 grandchildren. The funeral service was held at the Goshen Baptist church Friday afternoon with Rev. Orville Walker and Rev. Vairl Winter in charge and the burial directed by the Parsons funeral directors was in the church cemetery.
