  <p>Information: Funeral services for Effie Dell Batten of 119 Court St., Ripley, will be held Thursday, November 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Parsons Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. William Eaton will officiate.  Burial will be in the Otterbein Cemetery at Evans.  Mrs. Batten died Monday, November 15, at the Ravenswood Rest Home after a long illness.  He was born October 1, 1882, in Lewis County, West Virginia.  Her husband, the late Bee Batten, and her only son, Brooks Batten of Ripley, preceded her in death.  Mrs. Batten was a member of the Mud Run United Methodist Church.  She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Freda Batten of Ripley; two grandsons, Keith Batten of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Kenneth Batten of Morgantown; a granddaughter, Arlene Kuryla of St Albans; and two great-grandchildren.</p>
