Information: Francis E. Jarrett, Jr. of Ripley, died Saturday, at home. He was born in Kenova, a son of Francis and Geneva Guthrie Jarrett. He was a graduate of Marshall University. He was a former Ripley teacher and a former Kaiser Aluminum employee. He was retired from Kennedy Space Center, where he was employed as an archivist and historian. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; one son, John of Melbourne, Fla.; two daughters, Jane West of Cocoa, Fla., Kathryn Kidd of Ripley; one sister, Pauline Kimberling of Huntington and three grandsons. A memorial service will be held today at 2 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ripley with the Rev. Elizabeth Walker officiating. Vail Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, in care of Betty Walker or to the American Cancer Society in care of Alice Shinn, 1 Highlawn Heights, Ripley.
